PROSPECTUS FOR ADMISSION TO B.PHARM COURSE 2006-2007.
Kerala State Self Financing B.Pharm College Management
Association (KSSBCMA)
INTROUDCTION
i) The self-financing colleges listed in this prospectus
conduct 4 year degree course in pharmacy
(B.Pharm) as per the specifications of the universities of
kerala. The Kerala State Self Financing B.Pharm
College Management Association (KSSBCMA) has decided to
conduct a selection procedure for admission,
except NRI seats.
ii) A Controller of Examination has been appointed for the
conduct of the examination as per of the
selection procedure.
iii) This prospectus is subject to modification like
addition or deletion as may be deemed necessary
by the Association and subject to the Judgments of Honorable
courts of law.
INSTITUTIONS AND NUMBER OF SEATS

v. The maximum number of seats in each college is as per the
sanction obtained by each college.
vi. Admission to course in the institution for which
approval or permission has not obtained shall
be subject to approval or permission from the authorities.

the fees fixed by the Justice K.T. Thomas
Committee for B.Pharm course.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
(i) Academic
As desided by the appropriate statutory authorities.
Eligilibility certificate
Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from
outside the state of Kerala shall produce
The certificate of recognition and equivalency of qualifying
examination from any one of the universities in
Kerala. This should be furnished at the time of interview.
(ii) Age
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31 /12 /
2006.
Attested copy of relevant page of school record namely SSLC
/ CBSE / ISC certificate showing the
Date of birth should be furnished along with the
application.
HOW TO APPLY
Application forms
The application form together with the information brochure
can be obtained from any of the member
Colleges of the Association listed in the annexure I, on
payment of Rs. 500 by cash.
Submission of application form
Filled application form together with all the required
certificates or documents should reach the
Controlled of Examination on or before 22-07-2006.
Note:
i. Applications received late will not be accepted.
ii. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
iii. Candidates should not enclose any original certificate
along with the application.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection for admission will be made from the rank list
prepared on the basis of the marks in the
Entrance examination, qualifying examination and an
interview.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
Venue: Entrance examination will be conducted in selected
center and if there is any change in the
Center, it will be intimated in due course.

6th August 2006, Sunday 11 am to 1 pm
Subjects / Papers
The subjects for the entrance examination will be
Paper I - Physics - 50 questions 60 Minutes
Paper II - Chemistry - 50 questions 60 Minutes
Candidates should appear for both papers for selection.
Scheme of examination
i. The examination will be objective type and based on
single response. For each question four answers
Will be suggested, of which only one will be the most
appropriate response.
ii. The candidate will have to select the answer and put a
mark in the appropriate box given in the right
side of each question.
iii. There will be no negative marks.
iv. The question paper will be in the form of a booklet.
Standard of examination
i. The admit card will be sent to eligible candidates after
assigning the roll numbers.
ii. The venue of the examination and the timetable will be
specified in the admit card.
iii. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card will
not be admitted to the examination under
any circumstances.
iv. Duplicate Admit Card will be issued to eligible
candidates, who fall to get admit card, from the office
of the Controlled of Entrance Examination on specific
written application.

If any candidate has any genuine complaint regarding the
conduct of the examination, he or she may
Register his or her complaint before the Chief
Superintendent of the examination center concerned,
With supporting details / information therefore, immediately
after the examination. Complaints
Received subsequently will not be entertained.
Declaration of results:
i. The evaluation of answer scripts will be completed within
two weeks of the examination.
ii. There will be no provision for re-checking or
revaluation of the answer scripts as the valuation or
scoring will be error free.
iii. In the case of a tie in the total marks, the marks in
Chemistry in the entrance examination will count.
If there is still a tie the marks in Physics will be
counted. If a tie still exists the age of the candidate
Will be taken in to account, the elder preferred to be
younger.
iv. The merit list published by the Controller of
Examination will be valid till the date up to which the
merit list shall be kept alive in terms of instruction /
direction of competent authority.
v. Admission to the entrance examination, the marks obtained
in the entrance examination or inclusion
in the merit list will not entitle the applicant for
admission to the course unless the applicant satisfy
the rules regarding the eligibility for admission and other
conditions as laid down by the authorities.
vi. Furnishing false information / particulars would result
in the forfeiture of the candidature as well as
cancellation of admission to the course, and in addition,
will attract the relevant provisions of criminal
law of the land.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES
i. A candidate should bring ballpoint pen (blue or black)
for the examinations.
ii. A candidate shall be present at the examination hall 30
minutes before the scheduled time.
iii. Question paper will be in the form of a booklet.
iv. The candidate should write his/her register number in
words and in figures in the appropriate columns
given in the facing sheet of the question booklet.
v. The candidate shall mark the most appropriate answer in
the box on the right side of each question
as a (or) b (or) c (or) d, what ever it may be.
vi. The booklet should be returned to the invigilator at the
end of the examination.
vii. Do not bring logarithm tables, Scientific calculators,
cell phone etc. to the examination hall.
viii. The candidate should sign the attendance register
given by the invigilator.
ix. Any malpractice or attempt to commit any kind of
malpractice in the examination hall will result in
the summary disqualification of the candidate.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
i. Call letter for interview will be sent three times
permitted in take of the college concerned.
ii. Originals of all certificates / documents enclosed with
the application should be submitted at the time
of interview.
iii. The selected candidate will be informed the date and
time of admission by the respective Colleges.
iv. The candidate shall pay the fees at the time of
admission, which will not be refunded.
v. If any candidate discontinues the course after admission,
candidate has to pay the full fees of the
remaining years before applying for transfer certificate.
OTHER INFORMATION
i. No request for change of date or entrance examinations or
selection processes will be entertained,
nor the controller of examinations will entertain enquiries
with regard to date of declaration of the result.
ii. Any other item not specifically covered in this
prospectus will be decided by the undersigned and his
decision shall be final.
